Tabloid Sports

Every year on St Joseph's day our school has tabloid sports. There are four sport houses at school. Their names are Blake, Hillary Cowley and Shepherd and I belong to Shepherd. The houses captains were in charge of the games. Each house chose a game to play. Each house would also get split into two groups. This year there was the card game, water games and a mug game.
The card game was really fun because everyone would go to a chair and each chair had a card print like the hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. The rules of the this were that you would go to a chair and the person that was leading it would take a card out from the middle of the cards and say what was picked from the cards. All the people that were in that group would get out of the game until the next round. They would go on until there was only one person left. I really enjoyed the game even though I wasn't the one who won.

There were two different water games and we used water guns for both games. The first game was a freezing game. The player would stay still and someone else would move your hands or put a water gun in your hands. When the person who was in charge of the game was not looking, you tagged them. They had to freeze and give you the water gun. You could only shoot the person who was leading the game because they had togs on. If you moved and the person with the water gun saw it, you would be out for the rest of the game. In the second game there would be a gun for each group and two buckets. Each group would fill the gun with water from one bucket and they would start to shoot water in the empty bucket. At the end the bucket with the most water in it won and we could tip the water on the heads of people that was running the games.

In another game the person that was running the mug game split us into two groups and gave each group a mug. You needed to first put water into the mug and go all the way to the other bucket on the other side then come back to the bucket with the water in, so that the next person could go. At the end the group that had the bucket with the most water in won and got to tip all the water on the person’s head.

At the end when we were done we all had a sausage sizzle. I really enjoyed the tabloid sports.
